Semi frame rust removal and protection

We remove rust and surface contaminants from semi frames and structural components with a laser. Unlike abrasive blasting, it doesn’t grind metal away, so frame strength and tolerances are preserved.

Best for Trucking fleets

What happens to a frame rail

Why frames need it

Frame rails and crossmembers take the worst of the road. Water, salt, brine and grit get trapped in seams and around fasteners, and once rust takes hold it keeps working into the steel.

Heavy rust also hides what an inspector or mechanic needs to see: cracks, wear and the condition of the metal underneath.

What laser cleaning does differently

Abrasive blasting cleans by wearing the surface down, and it can take sound metal along with the rust. The laser removes the corrosion layer and leaves the frame’s geometry alone.

Frames come out ready for inspection, repair or a protective coating. That supports asset preservation and lowers lifecycle maintenance costs.

When to schedule it

  1. Scale or flaking rust on rails, crossmembers or brackets
  2. Before an inspection, when the steel needs to be seen clearly
  3. Before frame repair work
  4. Before applying or renewing a protective coating

Protection after cleaning

Clean, bare steel is the right starting point for a protective coating. Protection is part of this service; ask about protection for your frames when you request a quote.

Questions about frame cleaning

What does “protection” mean for frames and dump beds?

Both services include protection after cleaning: a protective treatment or coating that slows future corrosion. For dump beds it’s optional. Ask about protection for your equipment when you request a quote.

What should I send to get a quote?

What the asset is and roughly how big it is, what you’re removing (rust, paint, coating, oil), where the equipment is, and when you need it done. Photos of the whole piece and a close-up of the worst area help.

Do you work with fleets?

Yes. Fleet Maintenance Plans cover scheduled cleanings for multiple vehicles or assets, customized to asset type, usage and operational needs. Ask about them in your quote request.
